Gary Lang Auto Group gave Operation Care Package $1,600 yesterday to support their activities.

Operation Care Package is an Illinois organization that gathers supplies and letters to send to our troops overseas. This Christmas (December, 2010), they sent out over 11,000 care packages to the troops. Now through October, they will send out approximately 150 packages per week.

Operation Care Package received a donation of $1,600 from Gary Lang Auto Group. The money will be used to purchase items needed for the troops overseas.

Cadillac Working on Luxury Plug-In Hybrid

According to Automotive News, Cadillac is working on a plug-in hybrid vehicle based on the Cadillac SRX platform. It would share some of the same technology as the Chevy Volt GM has developed over the years.

It would mark the first luxury electric car from the top United States automaker after it dropped a plan to build the Converj concept car, a Cadillac variant of the Volt.
