  • High-strength, fully boxed steel frame that's five times torsionally stiffer than before and lets Silverado 3500HD shoulder up to 6,635 lbs. of payload;
  • The new independent front suspension allows each front wheel to react independently to rough terrain, helping keep each wheel in a vertical position and more firmly planted on the road
  • New exhaust brake system
  • StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System (SRW only)
  • Trailer Sway Control (SRW only)
  • Hill Start Assist (SRW only)
  • Auto grade braking with bigger, stronger brakes with Intelligent Brake Assist
  • Maximum gas payload improved from 5,255 to 6,635 lbs.
  • Maximum GVWR increased up to 14% on some models
  • Maximum Front Gross Axle Weight Rating improved from 4,800 to 6,000 lbs.
  • Steering knuckle taller and 66% heavier
  • Rear leaf springs 20% wider
  • Diesel highway fuel economy improved by 11%
